Robert “Bob” F. Spiva, 72 of Lago Vista, TX passed away on Saturday morning at a rehab center following a series of recent health issues.
He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia Spiva, married in 1995, his two sons, Todd and Kelly Spiva, stepson, Richard Bowman, stepdaughter Christie Bowman, his adored granddaughters, Zoe and Lexi Spiva, step-granddaughter Emily Dickenson.
He was an amazing man raising two boys. He proudly participated with his sons in the YMCA and Boy Scouts of America as possibly the longest running Scoutmaster for his troop of close to 150 members. Bob continued to serve the BSA through various other positions and roles well after his sons were adults.
Bob will be laid to rest on Thursday, November 9th at 1:30 p.m. at the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home and Cemetery in Pflugerville. The viewing will occur Wednesday between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m.
