Robert Burton Mosby

Bob served aboard the USS Kearsarge during the Korean War. While serving in the US Navy, he met and married Mattie Haynes. He was retired from the US Postal Service, serving in various capacities in Texarkana, Austin, and Pflugerville locations. He was a member of Windsor Park Baptist of Austin and First Baptist New Hope in Leander for many years.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Mattie, of 51 years, his parents Charles and Emma Nick Mosby, one sister, and three brothers.

He is survived by two children, son, Steve Mosby of Liberty Hill, and daughter, Margaret Crow of Georgetown; two grandsons, Jason Crow of Montgomery, TX, and Travis Crow of Georgetown; four granddaughters, Tracy Cline of Brenham, TX, Kristi Yon of Leander, Kimberly Conrad of Liberty Hill, and Tamara Mosby; and ten great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 3, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home.A funeral Service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at First Baptist New Hope Church 200 West New Hope Drive, Cedar Park, Texas 78613 with Dr. Gary Brinkley officiating. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas. Military honors will be afforded by the United States Navy.
