Mark L. (Robby) Robinson (60) died on April 18, 2010 in a tragic motorcycle accident outside of his hometown of Lago Vista, Texas, where he lived and raised his family for the last 30 years. Born August 5, 1949 in Covington, Kentucky, Robby moved to Houston as a young boy and relocated to the Austin area in the mid 70’s. He was a wonderful father, husband, and brother, as well as a generous friend. Robby was respected and loved by all who knew him. He was a gifted mechanic, an avid fisherman, a lifelong biker, and will always be remembered as an unrivaled story-teller. Robby was at the forefront of motocross racing in Houston, and continued with competitive racing throughout his life. He was a free-spirit, a man of simple needs, who enjoyed skiing, skydiving, camping and spending time with his kids. Robby is survived by his three children Adam (24), Emily (22) and Jonna (19) and their mother Cheryl Robinson, his brother and two sisters, as well as many nieces, nephews and countless friends and loved ones.
The family will receive guests in the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home on Thursday, 3:00 PM, April 22, 2010. A Memorial Service honoring Robby’s Life will follow at 3:30 PM.
