He was a master of construction and a welder. He spent his adult life as a proud union iron worker building spectacular structures all over the country. He will be remembered as a loving family member and friend who could always be found on the golf course, particularly Bluebonnet Hill.
He is survived by his mother Anna Halle, sister Annmarie and husband Emil Niemann, sister Patty and husband Sidney Shelton, daughter Machelle Monroe, son Richard Halle III and wife Elizabeth, three grandchildren, two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Halle Sr.
The family would like to thank the Elgin Nursing Home for their support and services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the M.D. Anderson cancer research facility of Houston.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Memorial Chapel in Pflugerville, Texas. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
