Paula was born on July 7, 1935 in San Saba, Texas, the youngest of three children to Kermit Paul Crane and Juanita Reavis. Following graduation from Austin High School, most of her career was spent as an insurance claims adjuster for State Farm.
She was an active member of her community and her church, choosing to spend time at the senior facilities in Gus Garcia Recreation Center and at St. Mark’s Methodist Church. In addition, Paula was a big fan of Longhorns and Cowboys football, an avid reader, and quite the card shark! She enjoyed spending time with her family and happily coordinated large family reunions at Lake Buchanan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Arlene, and brother Beal.
She is survived by her children Bryan Stark and wife Ileana, and her daughter Pamela Bartlett. She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren: Laurie, George, Michael, Danielle, and Nikki, and their respective spouses, and 7 great-grandchildren: Tyler, Abel, Dylan, Deacon, Savannah, Stephen, and Wesley. Paula was also particularly close to her niece and grandniece Debbie and Kendall Armbruster.
Paula Jean was a beloved and greatly revered member of her family.
She will be missed by all who know and love her.
