She was born on August 7, 1922 in Niagara Falls, New York. She graduated from LaSalle High School in 1941. During WWII, she was an administrative assistant at Bell Aircraft Corp. Near the end of WWII, she met a real nice man from Texas named William Turner. She followed him to Texas and they were united in marriage on May 18, 1946. The couple had one son, Douglas Raymond Turner, on August 21, 1951. Hilda later went to work for the IRS and retired after 20 years of service. Hilda’s favorite pastime was the love she had for her cats, Smoky, Red, and Snowball. She is preceded in death by her loving husband and devoted son.
Friends are invited to a visitation from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, 2011, at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 14, 2011 in the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
