Cynthia Jane Lambert (Cindi) passed away on March 30, 2022 at 10:22 A.M. at the age of 76 at home in Georgetown, TX. Her son Michael Lambert, daughter-in-law Tanya Lambert, daughter Karri Milam, son-in-law Cory Milam, and Cindi’s husband Steve Lambert were present when Cindi began her eternal life with our Heavenly Father. Cindi was born on December 23, 1945 in McKinney, Texas. She attended Richardson High School. She and Steve have been married 52 years.
Cindi was fortunate to spend her many years raising two children from birth to adulthood. Her life with Steve began in Dallas, then Houston, and then Georgetown. Most of that time, they attended Baptist churches in the area. Many Sundays, they attended the church with her grandchildren, who were very important to her. She always wanted them to know how much they were loved.
She was always involved with her children’s activities, and never missed a sporting event that involved her children, or later in life, her grandchildren. Until the day she left us, she was their biggest fan. Cindi found her true calling as a grandmother. Her grandchildren always called her Mimi.
Cindi loved to travel with friends and family. She traveled in Europe several times with Steve, her favorite traveling companion. Every six months, she traveled with several high school friends and close acquaintances to various locations across the country. She so much looked forward to those trips that had been going on for many years. Visiting with friends and getting caught up with their life’s changes was another way of listening and caring for others.
Cindi is predeceased by her father, William F. Vickrey, her mother, Anna Jane Vickrey, her brothers Bill and John Vickrey, and her grandson Colt Steven Milam. Her surviving immediate family is her sister, Pat Catlett and brother-in-law Jim Catlett. She has seven grandchildren: Jacob, Ella, Olivia, Ava, Maggie, Annie, and Gage. She also had many cousins, nephews, and nieces still living, and she loved them all, as well as numerous cherished friends.
There was always time in her day to be available to someone in need including during the months of her treatment for cancer. Her legacy remains strong and true, and she lives on in the lives and hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
The family wishes to give special thanks to Comforts of Home Healthcare, our hospice provider. Their representatives Metta, Toby, Maria, Donna and Danielle showed heart-felt compassion and care to Cindi and each family member. Thank you so much!
A special thanks is also extended to Debi, Cindi’s caregiver. She gave such tender care to Cindi and her family during these last several weeks.
