Christine Christianson of Georgetown went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 26, 2022 at the age of 65. Chris was born to Ann and Del Tallet on October 30, 1957 in Plainview, Texas. Because of a battle with cancer at the age of 16, the family moved to Houston where Chris graduated from South Houston High School. After graduation, Chris became an accountant and office administrator with several companies during her professional career. In 2006, Chris was a major contributor in the founding of Victory Plumbing where she worked for 14 years before her retirement in 2018. She married Darrell Christianson in October of 2013 where they made their home in Georgetown.
Chris had a passion for reading - especially Christian literature including Tabletalk Magazine and Christian authors such as R.C. Sproul, Charles Swindoll, Edith Schaefer, and Tony Evans just to mention a few. Chris was a member of First Baptist Church of Round Rock and loved participating in the Ladies Ministry, working in the church library, and attending her beloved Sunday School Class. Chris was an avid student of the Bible and met every week with her dear friends, Carol and Ann. Her hunger to know God and His Word drove Chris every day.
Chris also enjoyed playing golf with her lady friends at Berry Creek until her health made her retire. Chris loved to travel especially to the Caribbean, Europe, and the mountains of New Mexico. She received great pleasure in helping others as she served the homebound as a volunteer driver for Faith in Action.
Chris was preceded in death by her father, Del Tallet and her niece, Taylore. Left to remember Chris is her husband, Darrell; mother, Ann Tallet; son, Brandon Laird; brothers, Greg and Doug Tallet; sister, Nancy Whitehead; nieces, Tabatha and Tiffany; nephew, Jeffery; and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Round Rock with Pastor Dustin Slaton officiating.
