Charles T. Hatchett III

Charles Truett Hatchett III was the son of Joy Hatchett & Charles Hatchett II, a brother to Kim and Heather Hatchett, and a father to Charles (Chaz) Hatchett IV, Kayla Hatchett-Smith and Taylor Hatchett.

Charles, Charlie, Tyke had a life of many chapters. As a veteran to our Navy, a son, a brother, a uncle, a father and a friend to many.

As a kid he was the ultimate goober and that never changed. He lived bold, wild, and free, and knew the mentality work hard play hard.

Music was especially embedded in his soul from the influence of his father. From 8 tracks, to booking bands from venue to venue, playing the drums, and jam sessions of many, he carried music through his life.

Tyke had a passion for the many things, one that stood out in his later years was that of archaeology. He spent countless days at his happy place in Brushy Creek finding gems in arrowheads, fossils, and so much more. The pantry at home became his showcase, it needed the space.

Charlie loved to connect with others, even a stranger, but definitely with his loved ones. He wanted to hear their stories, from past to present and future goals. He would talk and listen for hours, treasuring the time spent.

Charles didn’t have an easy life, but he fought every trial with strength. He practiced what he preached and would get his hands dirty with you.

Across many paths he will be missed, but he will surely be looking down on us with a smile saying, “I’m okay rascal, I love you”. In heaven reunited with many he has missed, rest in peace snaptagator, Charles Truett Hatchett III.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery next to the mausoleum in Pflugerville, Texas. Following will be a reception at the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas
