Bernice Eleanor Pfluger

She died on August 4, 2012, in Pflugerville, Texas, at age 98.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Lillie Pfluger; her sister, Norma Pfluger Allbritton; her brother, Vernon Pfluger; her niece, Linda Mason; and her husband of 52 years, George Pfluger. Bernice is survived by her sister, Lillian Pfluger Mason; nephews Bryant and Kenny, and niece Marcy; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Bernice is a third generation member of the pioneer Henry Pfluger family. She wed George Pfluger on October 10, 1939. Together, George and Bernice raised cattle on the family land and operated Pfluger Meat Market. They enjoyed entertaining nephews and nieces, and loved to travel throughout the United States.

Bernice was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Pflugerville where she was baptized, confirmed, and married. Bernice was a Sunday school teacher, a Bible tutor, and served as a counselor at Camp Chrysalis.

Visitation for will be Tuesday, August 7, 2012, 10am, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 500 Immanuel Road, Pflugerville, Texas. Funeral services will follow at the church at 11am, with interment in the church cemetery.
