Aaron Allen Rains vibrant life came to an end, on Tuesday, February 10, 2015, at age 29, from a tragic motorcycle accident. He was a blessing (and sometimes a pain) to all that knew him, but one thing was for certain, he lived life on his terms!
Aaron was born on December 27, 1985, in Lubbock, Texas. He moved to Austin, Texas, with his mom, at age 6 months. When he was 2, he and his mom moved to Pflugerville where he then forever called home. He introduced his mom to his "true" dad when he was 3 and had his forever family, so he thought, until he was 14 years old and gained 4 brothers overnight! What a change having to share, but he took it all in stride and bonded with all of them. Today, Aaron is survived by his Grandparents: Frances and Jim Stephens and Glen Allen. His Great Uncle and Aunt: Wayne and LaRue Vandivere. His Mom and Dad: Nona and Doug Allen. His brothers: Justin (JB) Sharp and his wife Amanda and niece Lilly, and Joseph and Zachary Sharp. His Uncles and Aunts: Craig and Shelia Allen, Pat and Angie Allen, and Laurie Sharp. He is predeceased by Grandparents: Stanley and Winona Boysen, Rosemary Allen, and Mildred Vandivere. Aunt and Uncle: Lisa and Doug Beaudry And by brother: Steven Sharp.
Aaron, also known as "Memphis" to many, never met a stranger and was always the life of the party!!! He graduated from Pflugerville High School in 2004. And is survived by numerous friends! We still love and care for all of you! Aaron worked for Rodriguez Engineering for many years which parlayed itself into a job at the Texas Department of Transportation. He also worked part time at UPS for over 6 years. He made many long lasting friends and coworkers, at both jobs.
Aaron loved many things: his family and friends, Texas music, any kind of history, reading, reading, reading (this may come as a shock to those of you who knew him in high school), BUT Aaron's true love was riding motorcycles!!! He became a member of a wonderful motorcycle club "True Few". These men became not only his friends, but his brothers. He brought history lessons, youth, and lots of laughs to their group and in return they brought support, encouragement and stability to his life. They became part of his (and our) large extended family. We love you all! In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: J.W.Rock Foundation, Homes For Our Troops, or any charity of your choice, as Aaron loved helping all people.
We wish to thank everyone who has reached out to us over the last few days. While we are finding it hard to go on without our "life of the family", we know that with time, our fond memories, and faith in God wiII carry us. And we look forward to our reunion with our wonderful son!
