William John Jewell

Passed away on July 18, 2023 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre in his 69th year. Beloved husband of Valerie Anne Jewell (nee Mackin). Father of Michael Jewell (Candace) and Step-Father of Kris Weir (Erin) and Josh Weir. Grandfather of Dylan, Carlie, Ethan, Kris Jr and Noah. Great Grandfather of Kenneth. Brother of Neil (Carol), Jean Sweeting (Arnold), Joseph and Margaret Schiel (David).

Bill was a proud member of the Motor City Car Club, Oshawa and an avid Street Rodder. He was also the Canadian Representative for the National Street Rod Association. A devoted employee of Anchor Shoring & GFL. Loved his time spent coaching his 4 grandkids soap box derby racing. Bill enjoyed life to the fullest every day and gave 100% at his work. He was very proud of all the young lads he mentored along the way. He and Val loved their Florida family with a passion.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Comstock-Kaye Life Celebration Centre, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough on Saturday, August 12th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tributes will be at 2:30 p.m. Donations to the Grandview Children’s Hospital, Oshawa would be appreciated.
