Tjerkje Haagsma Van Winssen

On December 16th, we lost our dear Mother and Beppe, one day after her 91st birthday. Beloved wife of Jacobus Van Winssen (deceased) and dear mother of Peter (Lanette), Harold (Lise), Jim (Linda) and Janine (Richard). Loving Beppe to seven grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren. Sister of the late Aafke Haagsma. Terry leaves 3 sisters-in-law in Holland and is predeceased by four siblings. Terry and Jack came to Canada like other Dutch immigrants in the early 1950’s and were very proud to explore their new home with their children and become Canadian citizens. Terry looked after her family beautifully and was very proud of them. Terry also enjoyed gardening, reading and creating lovely embroideries. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. All are welcome at the COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street, at 12:30 pm on Monday December 21st for the funeral with reception to follow.
