It is with great sorrow that the family announces his passing on Thursday, October 6th, 2011 at the age of 51. With courage to the very end Steve lost his battle with cancer at Peterborough Regional Health Centre. Forever to be loved and missed by his beloved daughter Janine Newton and his dear friend Christine Gordon. Predeceased by his father Ron Newton (2005) and his mother Joyce Newton (2007). Sadly missed by his sister Gerry Newton (Bernie) and his brother Don Newton (Nancy). Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Steve holds a special place in the hearts of his friends that were there by his side through his long battle. Friends and family may gather at COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street, on Thursday, October 13th from 5-7 p.m. to share fond memories of Steve. Special Thanks to the staff at PRHC Palliative Care Unit for their kindness and care. Cremation has taken place and an inurnment will follow at a later date.
