Mary Beata Hickey

HICKEY, Mary Beata (nee Cavanagh) - On May 22, 2014 in her 77th year and surrounded by her family, Mary was called home to Jesus. Loving wife of Edward Hickey for 53 years and cherished mother of Pat (Lisa), Pam Grady (Ken) and Peter. Mary was a nurturing grandmother to Mekayla, Lucas, Owen, Emily, Kenny, Nicholas, Cameron and Kalyn. She is survived by her sisters Olive Mertz (Phil), Madeline Foster (Ron) and twin sister Barbara Loescher (Darrel). Predeceased by brothers Richard, Thomas and Joseph Cavanagh. Daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (nee Walsh). Mary will be greatly missed by her many nieces, nephews and close friends. The Hickey family will be forever grateful for the kindness shown to Mary during her hospital stay at PRHC. Her final days on Palliative Care were made bearable by the sincerity and outstanding care provided by an exemplary team of Health Care Professionals. Visitation will be held at KAYE FUNERAL HOME "MEMORIAL CHAPEL", 539 George Street North from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. on Monday, May 26th. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at ST. MARTIN OF TOURS CHURCH, 513 Ennis Road, Ennismore. Interment to follow in the Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
