Hi Ronnie, I just heard about Karen, was shocked.  Don't know how I missed this news but am very sorry for your loss.  Karen was a great gal and I remember so many good times down at the Disco, out boating then back to your Mom and Dad's place, dancing the night away.  I remember one night at the disco holding Karen's long hair back so she wouldn't get vomit in it!!  And then taking her back to her apartment on Brock but she had lost the keys.  Can't remember how we got in but I'm sure it was creative.  She was always kind and laughing when I saw her from time to time, usually at the Craftworks.  Much too young to leave us and I will be thinking of you and your children in your time of sorrow.     

I met Karen at The Barn - antiques were the connection ☺️ Our home is filled with barn purchases either Karen or Ron helping me out - I was there today and Ron took  me aside and told me about Karen’s  passing - I am in shock - the last time we met I purchased a very ornate bowl - we had  a visit - I had no idea that would be our last . A gracious lady lovely jewellery and great nails always a kind heart - every time we have a salad in this bowl I will toast her and remember - gone too soon 😔  a bright star 🌟

I met dear Karen while I worked at Global Pet Store..She was always a joyful beautiful soul with a big smile and we often had lovely chats..Once I left the pet store I would always see her at the barn (Craftworks)..We would have such lovely chats and spoke of our Dads as they were both at Applewood Manor. I'm so very very saddened of her passing..I will miss her greatly as I felt so comfortable speaking with her...She was one of a kind and I felt like I had known her for so long..Rest in peace my dear dear friend..My deepest sympathy, prayers and love go out to her family at this very sad time😪💙🙏

I always looked forward to seeing Karen at the Barn and to chatting with her. She was such a warm and caring person.  On my most recent visit there, I was very saddened to learn of her illness. I wish her husband and sons all the strength and love they need during this difficult time.

Karen was a childhood friend in Norwood. We shared so many good times..sleepovers, decorating floats for the fair, schoolyard games, dances, dating, first prom, .....so many memories! All filled with her laughter, warmth, and genuine love of people and the time. 
We reconnected at the barn in recent years. I am so glad we had the opportunity to hug, share our memories of our shared good times, and catch up on where our lives have taken us.
Karen was a special person who added goodness to all of us and the world. 

I never had the privilege of meeting Karen but I do know her niece, Deborah, who speaks so highly of her Aunt Karen and the time they spent together.  
For all Karen's family and friends, you have all been blessed to have had her as part of your lives. I hope that you can find peace in the memories made with her.

To Karen's family,
As a long-time vendor of antiques at The Barn, I recall very well when Karen became involved following Craftworks' take-over.  Over the course of the years, it was gratifying to know that she, too, grew to love the store of treasures on the antiques level of The Barn.  It was also gratifying to get to know her.  It was always a pleasure sharing little life stories with her about family, "cats", etc., and she made it feel as though I was a member of the family there.  Even when life might try to challenge us, we could always manage to find something to chuckle about.    She had one of those magnetic personalities and a genuine interest in people, always quick with a smile and offering a helping hand.  In a perfect world, perhaps I could have been a "personal" friend of Karen's and I envy her group of "besties" -- they are very lucky people.  Yes, Karen touched MY life in HER special way and I am privileged to have known her.  My heart goes out to you.  Her passing is surely our loss.
