Peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Sunday, May 1, 2016 in his 86th year. Best friend and soulmate of Patricia “Gail” Sutton. Loving father of Brian Payne (Cathy), Daniel Payne (Rose), Paul Payne, Grant Payne (Gisele), Greg Payne; and step father of Steven Sutton and Joseph Sutton (Kathleen). Proud grandfather of 12 and great grandfather of 11. Predeceased by his brother George Payne. Predeceased by parents Albert and Rosally Payne. Member of the Navy Club.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the LION’S CENTRE, 347 Burnham Street, on June 11, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Interment of the urn at Rosemount Memorial Gardens.
