Doreen was truly a great lady and a true christian. She and John would come and visit me and John would always have a "joke of the day" They were an amazing pair and are together now.
During my illness Doreen called with words of comfort and cheer.
My life has been truly blessed by knowing Doreen and John. My sincere sympathy to the family. She will be greatly missed.

I will miss hearing Auntie Doreen's cheerful laugh. She was an encourager and wonderful Aunt to myself and my siblings, Angus and Meredith Warner. She will be greatly missed, but we look forward to our heavenly reunion!

We were so sorry to hear of Doreen's passing.  I will miss so much our conversations by phone.  She was such a blessing to me.  I know her family will miss her tremendously as she was such a beautiful Christian, who loved her family very much.  Our love and prayers are with you all.

We will miss Doreen as her visit to us each week at the Main Ingredient always came with her bright smile and caring questions about us and our children. She often had a great grandchild tagging along. Although we know she is rejoicing in heaven, she has left a huge hole behind for her family. We are truly sorry for your loss.

To the Family & Friends of Doreen. It is sad to know that Doreen has passed away. I send my deepest sympathy to the immediate family. I am her cousin, a grandson of her Aunt Bess (Davey) Found. My three sisters and I used to play with her and her siblings at Davey reunions. She was closest in age to our sister Marion, who was killed in a car accident some years ago. Those  memories of the past are good ones. I think I see something of the upimg girl Doreen  in the good picture of her later self now posted on the web.

It was a blessing that we were able to spend a little time with Aunt Doreen at the Davey Picnic. She took the time to personally greet our family when we got there, she was the first to welcome us with her warm smile. Our family will always have fond memories of Aunt Doreen.

To Aunt Doreen's family, all of us here in Copetown wish to extend our deepest sympathies. We were fortunate to visit with her at the family picnic a week ago,and as usual she was kind and welcoming. I personally have many fond memories visiting her and Uncle John on Charlotte Street. God blessed her with a long and vibrant life and we can all be thankful for this. I have known Doreen all my life.  She was such a kind and gentle person (on the inside as well as the outside).  She put other's before herself. I remember as a kid being invited after the morning service at Elim to Doreen and John's house for the afternoon.  Funny what you remember.  I remember Doreen making delicious pancakes for supper before going back to church for the evening service.  Just last month she served at my Mom's funeral at Elim, and was so loving to me and my family.  She will be greatly missed by all those that knew her.  My condolences to the family at this difficult time.  May God comfort you and hold you close at this difficult time.

My sympathies to all of Doreen's family and friends.  She and John were wonderful friends to my mother - and I enjoyed knowing her at the apartment on Parkhill.
