Dora "June" McConnell

December 2, 1923 – September 24, 2024

Passed away peacefully at Centennial Place, Millbrook in her 101st year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Milt. Loving mother of Karen Phillips (Randy). Loving grandmother of Shawn Barker, Andrew Middleton (Ben), Shannon Ross. Step-grandmother of Jennifer Phillips. Great-grandmother of Isaac, Arianna, Skylar and Aaliyah. Step-great-grandmother of Kaitlyn, Ayden, Parker and Luna. Predeceased by her step-grandson Andrew Phillips and her sister Hilda Gardiner (Ron). June was very passionate and involved with the Mother-Daughter Walk for Heart and Stroke where she was top contributor for over 3 years in a row. This cause was close to her heart and something she could share with Karen to honour Milt. June was a great entertainer and many family and friends would join her to play cards over good conversation and homemade treats. She will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held at Comstock-Kaye Life Celebration Centre, 356 Rubidge St., Peterborough on Wednesday October 2nd from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm. and at Northview Community Church, 1000 Fairbairn St., Peterborough on October 3rd from 10:00 – 11:00 am followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 am. Reception to follow. In memory of June, a donation may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
