Peacefully surrounded by her family, went home to be with her Lord, on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, in her 93rd year. Beloved wife and best friend of the late Roy Lane for 64 years. Loving mother of Bob (Pam), Jim (Paula) and Jeannie Wells. Dear Nana of Stephen (Stacey), David (Laurie), Jennifer (Miles), Sarah (Bill), Michael and Katharine. Great-Nana of Emma, Bobby, Seth, Kyla, Cailey, Mia, Billy, John and David. Sister of Jim and his wife Evelyn Sands. Betty was predeceased by her parents Samuel and Jane Sands and siblings Adam, Agnes, Annie, Martha and their spouses. She will also be missed by her nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Wednesday from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street and Thursday, August 23, 2012 at PARK STREET BAPTIST CHURCH, 16 Park Street North, from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Malcolm Young will officiate.
