Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on April 27, 2011 at Peterborough Regional Health
Center in her 63rd year after a long courageous fight against pancreatic Cancer. Beloved wife of 44 years
of Richard Bowler. Loving and amazing mother to Kim Nahrgang (Dana) and Greg Bowler (Shelley).
Cherished Gramma of three wonderful grandsons Josh Bowler, Ryan Bowler and R. J. Nahrgang.
Survived by her loving mother Ethel Barringer and mother-in-law Sally Bowler. Predeceased by her
father Leonard Barringer. Ann will be greatly missed by her sister Nancy Masters (Art), and also by Bob
and Pat Bowler and many nieces and nephews. Ann was a special friend to Diane Harrison. Ann had a
wonderful career as an R.N. with Peterborough Regional Health Center. She touched so many lives with
her caring touch and compassionate nature. Ann loved to spend her retirement camping with her
husband and Bichon – Spencer in their new trailer. Ann also enjoyed dining with friends, shopping, and
caring for her family and making everyone’s life she touched so much brighter. Ann will be dearly
missed by her entire family and friends and is wished eternal happiness free from pain and suffering.
Visitation will be held at the KAYE FUNERAL HOME “Memorial Chapel” 539 George St. N., on Friday
from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 11.00am.
Donations to the Peterborough Regional Health Center Palliative Care or to the Canadian Cancer
Society would be appreciated by Ann’s family. A special thank-you to Dr. Gillis - Doyle for her wonderful
care. Also a heartfelt thanks to the exceptional nurses of the Palliative Care Unit several who worked
with and were Ann’s friends who will also miss her spunk and quick wit.
