Cody it's Dylan your cousin. I just want to say c.j. that you will always be in my heart forever that power that you had I now have part of it and I will go to the marines and use your strength and my strength and combine it to make it into the marines. C.J. I miss you so much man I just wish you could come back and be with everyone again but I know you cant I'm gonna have to wait until Jesus appears again and rises everybody from the dead and wait for you to give you a big hug. Cody Boogie! My first-born Son I dont know how to start or what to say. Execpt I loved you unconditionally. Our time together was short when I was able to find you on social media and stalk your page I wanted to know everthing about you and was willing to wait till you accepted me. So when you accepted my friend request it was one on happiest days of my life. That day I went around telling everyone about how I was able to find my Son and how he accepted me as a friend on Fb. It was hard not to bombard you with questions and just wanting to get to know you as a man. As time moved foward we would eventually talk and you told about all of your accomplishments. How you set records in running and how you was a great athlete. Im thinking to myself "a chip of the old block" me and you were very athletic. Then you went onto how you were doing in school we talked for hours that day. I was thankful and very optimistic about our future realtionship I know you had demons and I was hoping in time I would have been able to show you the way to deal with that but creator had other plans for your journey. After reading all of your family and friends memories of you i cant help but think Boogie your were awesome caring loving and the life of the party. Just like me. Even though I was not there due to circumstances it was out of our control. But you were my mini me down to looks and behaviors. You know who does all the bbq and holidays meals and cooks me just like you. And that story about your bbq sauce well I have to say I've done the same i was told i need to bottle mine and just like you I said it was made from scratch. I love you Boogie and will strive to spoil your wife and daughter my granddaughter Romi! Say hi and give them the biggest hugs to Grandma Anna Lisa Jefferies and your daughter Lisa. For me. It’s been 3 weeks since I’ve seen you today… I still can’t believe you’re gone. It doesn’t feel real. Romi and I are struggling as the days go buy she keeps getting worse. Yesterday on Easter I was thinking about all the memories we had together at the lake on Easter you were always coming out to the water with us so we can build a big hole from the sand and we worked on it for a long time you were always so loving and caring to everyone and life won’t be the same without you but it was your time and God decided to take you into heaven with your beautiful daughter Lisa. I was thinking of you today, crying of how tomorrow is Easter and you won’t be here to share this day with us. 
last year for Easter we reserved a spot at Lake Perris. 
Cody you arrived at 6am with ribs and your smoker, ready to make the fam a fantastic meal. 
I mistakenly gave you the wrong directions, sorry about that.

Eventually you found the spot. 
Once we all arrived you had been there for hours. We started setting up and playing games. Cody you were always so helpful, you would manage to cook and help as well as play with the kids.
While you were cooking, you made sure everyone’s tried your seasoning and your sauce bragging about how you made it from scratch lol. You even made the people next to us try it, even though we didn’t know them. Hahaha. But that’s just how friendly and nice you were. 
Easter will not be the same without you.

Cody,  we will always remember you how happy you always were and how full of life you were.  ♥️ You were an amazing daddy to Romi I can tell how much you truly loved her and my sister Zulema.  Love like that is hard to find, you were always so kind to everyone. I will always remember how much you loved to cook and how good your food was.  I'm sad that I'm not going to have my Thanksgiving partner there anymore.  You and I have made turkeys for our family for the past 2 years I believe it might be longer I'm not sure.  But you would always make a turkey and so would I.  We're the only ones that would make it every year. I know you legally changed your name to Joseph but to us you will always be Cody. I'm sad and in disbelief that you're no longer here but God decided to take you.  You're now with your be baby girl Lisa, she needed her daddy with her.  You will always be remember 💓 my kids loved you Cody.  You were always so good with the little ones.  We will miss you, may you rest in paradise 🙏

Joseph, Zuly and Roma were my neighbors when we all lived in twenty nine palms. Toni wasn’t any older than 3 months when we first met. It was friendship at first sight. I was very pregnant at the time and my husband was deployed. I had no family or friends but Zuly and especially Joe would help me so much. Joe would go out of his way to come help me carry my groceries. He’d take out and bring in my trash cans every single week for 6 months straight. He would bring me homemade tortillas de Arina that he’d practice making. I’d never met anyone so full of life as him. So full of life I’d have to tell him to be quiet on the weekends at 2am when he would yell at the top of his lungs outside how much he loved his wife and kid… Romi, you have angels all around you baby girl. Make your daddy proud.

Adam Gonzalez- Tio Cody was a great man he would always talk about sports with me and would always comfort me I would never feel bored with him and may he R.I.P ❤️

Bella- I remember you would always spin me around and I loved it.  I love you and miss you tio Cody.  ♥️

Hailey Gonzalez - I loved my Tio Cody so much, although I never said those three words " I love you " I know that deep down inside he knew how much I did. I still remember how he got me flowers for my birthday, that was so sweet of him. I also remembered how every time I felt so alone he would be there for me. He would always find a way to make me smile, and whenever he was around I wouldn't feel so alone anymore. I miss him, but he need to go. It's his time. Now he's in a better peace, with his beautiful daughter Lisa. We will miss them both so much, but that's okay because I know that we will meet again soon.

My condolences to you and your father romie your father Joe was young with a great heart and a radiating smile always smiling when I seen him I remember the time he came to Darius's house to make dinner with you and your mom me and all of Darius's family he showed up happy as ever insisting that we just relax as he cooked cleaned and served us all he was so excited to show me how he cooked in a Cisco i think it was called so as he began to pour all the different meats and seasonings I began to question it I'm not gonna lie haha but in the end the food was amazing ! I'm truly sorry romie your dad was truly one of kind and he will be missed .

From our trip in the Gas Lamp. I tell stories of our adventures to anybody that will listen. From your first days in the fleet, we were together until we both left the desert. 

You will forever be held in my heart, I love you brother. 

Your high school graduation you were so proud of yourself for making it. I couldn't wait to get to college and start your life. We are so proud of you.
