Willie Pate Jr.

He was born on September 21, 1955 in Bloomington, IL to Willie Brown and Queen Esther (Neal) Pate Sr.

He married Marrietta Gorbet in October of 1977. She preceded him in death in March of 1986. He was also preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Stephanie Pate; and four brothers.

Willie is survived by his children, Tracy (Richard) Lee of Peoria, Christopher (Niesha) Pate of Chicago, Linda Pate of Kinder, LA and Kristalena Baker of Peoria; siblings, Jimmy Pate of Peoria, Conzelious (Cindy) Pate of Bloomington, Louise ( J.L. ) Houston of Peoria and Hattie “Penny” (Charles) Pate of Peoria; 18 grandchildren, Robert Pate, Deshawn, Aliayah, Mayia, Ashely, Ashanti, Destiny, Christopher, Atirianna, Jalena, Rayla, Martell, Queen, Lovely, Chrissa, Sariah, Aniya and Sabrina; 14 great-grandchildren; special friend, Theresa Colley of Peoria; and best friend, Ron Holloway of Peoria.

Willie loved to cook and enjoyed rehabbing houses and working on cars. He was last employed at Salvation Army where he enjoyed ringing the bell.

Private family services will be held. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel is entrusted with arrangements. Entombment will be in Parkview Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Robert Pate, Deshawn Pate, Martell Pate, Joseph Pate, Jayln Lee and Ron Holloway.
