Virginia Marie Stafford

She was born September 17, 1922 in Peoria the daughter of Henry and Jennie Nesselhaus Closen. She married Willard C. Stafford on November 15, 1940. He preceded her in death on March 22, 2004.

Virginia is survived by one son, Gary (Kathy) Stafford of Trivoli; one granddaughter, Courtney (Eric) Bruce of Edwards; one grandson, Nate (Xochitl) Stafford of Trivoli; four great-grandchildren, Colin Bruce, Eva Bruce, Isla Stafford and Willow Stafford.

She is preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.

Virginia is a member of First Christian Church in Creve Coeur. Previously, she was a 55 year active member of Howett Street Christian Church where she taught Sunday school. She dearly loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were her world.

Graveside services will be 11am Monday, October 3, 2016 at Swan Lake Memory Gardens. Pastor Dwight Winnett will officiate.
