He was born on Oct. 21, 1959, in Vandalia, IL, to Maurice and Deloris (McDowell) Sperry. He married Jessie Johnson on Jan. 18, 2015, in Peoria. She survives, along with Terry's mother, Deloris of Peoria; one daughter, Angela Sperry of Dallas, TX; three sons, C.J. Sperry of Wisconsin, Adam Sperry of Peoria and Alex Sperry of Peoria; one step-daughter, Kelli (Brian) Heskett of Peoria; and several grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters, Tammy (Andy) Hendricks of Galesburg, Carol (Brian) Peek of Princeville and Ronda Murdoch of Peoria; two brothers, Harvey (Bonnie) Sperry of Peoria and Gary Sperry of Peoria; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Shirley Mears.
Terry was a Nurse in the Emergency Room at the OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria for 25 years, retiring in 2014. He was a member of Northwoods Community Church in Peoria.
Terry's legacy will be remembered for the thousands of patients he helped and all the colleagues he influenced.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 28, 2018, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. Funeral services will be Friday, June 29, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Northwoods Community Church. Additional visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Friday at the church. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.
