Richard "Dick" Brooks

He was born Aug. 10, 1954 in Ainsworth, NE to Lyle and Betty (Trahan) Brooks. He married Patricia Simpson on Feb. 23, 1974 in Peoria. She survives along with 14 children: Casey Brooks of Palatine, IL, Carey (Chris) Hezlep of Pittsburgh, PA, Corey (Kaysie) Brooks of East Peoria, Cara Brooks of Peoria, Christopher (Cara) Brooks of Peoria, Catherine (John) Wall of Birmingham, AL, Caylan Brooks of Peoria, Sarah Brooks of Peoria, Paige Brooks of Peoria, Mya (Zach) Vollmer of Washington, IL, Macayla Brooks of Peoria, Mariah Brooks of Peoria, Emerson Brooks of Peoria and Lundyn Brooks of Peoria. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, two brothers: William (Betty) Brooks of Peoria, Wesley (Cindy) Brooks of Pekin, and one sister, Kristine Brooks of Bartonville.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Dick has been an IT Specialist at OSF St Francis Medical Center for the past 30 years. He was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in East Peoria.

Funeral services will be Monday, June 14, 2021 at 12 Noon at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in East Peoria. Visitation will be two hours prior to the services at the church. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.

Memorials may be made to Dick’s children and grandchildren’s education fund.
