Marilyn Louise (Haynes) Boldry

Marilyn Louise (Haynes) Boldry, 88, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 8,2022. Born on January 7, 1934, in Peoria, Illinois, she was the daughter of Wiley and Myrtle Haynes. She graduated from Woodruff High School in 1952 and married the love of her life, Bill R. Boldry, on August 3, 1952. After 63 years of marriage, Bill preceded her in death in 2016. Marilyn is survived by her children: Lynne (Mike) Caley of Grand Rapids, MI, Laurie (Larry) King of Metamora, IL, Tom (Tracy) Boldry of Shawnee, KS, and Becky (Darren) Frye of Washington, IL, as well as 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and her beloved dog, Max.

Although she worked for a few years as an nurse, Marilyn most loved the joy of being a wife and mother/grandmother! Her world revolved around her family and her heart was most full when spending time together. She had the special gift of hospitality, hosting and serving others in her home. Marilyn and Bill loved traveling with family or friends, having visited many places in the US as well as Europe. But at the center of it all was faith in Jesus, and the involvement she and Bill together had with the church family. At the time of her passing, Marilyn was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, the same church that introduced her to Christ as a teenager. She will be so greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton is assisting the family with arrangements. A Celebration of Marilyn's life will be at Bethany Baptist Church on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at 3:00 pm, with visitation preceding the service from 2:00-3:00. Pastor Ritch Boerckel and Pastor Mike Caley, her son-in-law, will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethany Baptist Church (7422 N Heinz Lane, Edwards, IL 61528), or St. Jude's Research Hospital.
