Loren Myers, 94, of East Peoria, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at the ManorCare of Riverview in East Peoria. He was born on November 18, 1920 in Edina, Missouri to Cecil and Florence (Turner) Myers. He married Bette L. Howard on October 27, 1946 in Peoria Heights, Illinois. She survives.
He is also survived by three children, Glenda (Craig) Kampwerth of Canton, Illinois, Randy Myers and Ricky (Thom Krokstrom) Myers both of Peoria, Illinois. Three grandsons, Alex , Adam and Shawn and one great granddaughter survive. He also is survived by one sister, Beulah Leonard of Lakewood, Colorado.
Loren was a barber in the Pekin and Peoria area for over 25 years, later he was a realtor for over 5 years and last worked for the Unitote Regitel Company for several years. He was a World War II Army Air Force Veteran, an avid Chicago Cubs fan and a member of the American Legion. He attended and was involved in many ministries at the Groveland Missionary Church in Groveland.
Cremation rites will be accorded and private inurnment will be in the Springdale Mausoleum. The Davison Fulton Woodland Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. You may create an online condolence at www.davison-fulton.com.
