Judith Behnke

Judith Behnke, 75, of Champaign County Nursing Home, formerly of Peoria, passed away at 4:35 PM on March 28, 2017 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. She was born on January 16, 1942 in Kewanee, IL to Lester and Louise (Lohse) Howe. She married Martin J. Behnke on November 6, 1960 in Kewanee. He preceded her in death on May 4, 2006 in Peoria.

She is survived by two sons Martin and Matthew (Sherrie) Behnke both of Peoria; two daughters Annette (David) Park of Elmhurst and Katherine (Mark) Gorrell of Savoy; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Judith was a homemaker. She had been a founding member of the Northwest United Methodist Church in Peoria. She received Five Year pins from both the Boy and Girl Scouts Troops in Peoria. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting. She loved fishing, nature and birdwatching.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM on Monday, April 3, 2017 at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home. A visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
