Jannis Deanne Favus

Jannis Deanne (Janni) Favus died at OSF Hospital on April 10, 2025. Her family - husband Mitchell,son Josh,and daughter in law Nicole and Janni’s many friends are devastated by this loss. Janni was born in 1946, the daughter of Dane and Delores Harris. They preceded her in death.

Janni was a very much loved and respected teacher. She earned a Masters Degree in Education from Illinois State University. She taught Headstart, Kindergarten, and Reading Recovery in Peoria and Bloomington. Many of her students remained in touch with her for her entire life.

Janni was one of the kindest people in the world and she had many friends. Her first thought was always how she could help another person, always putting others first. Janni is already missed every day by her loved ones and friends.

A celebration of her life will occur on a future date.
