Jane Eloise Slevin

Jane was born April 26, 1920 in Mill Valley, CA, the daughter of James and Mary Elizabeth (Davidson) Howell. She married Spalding L. Slevin, Jr. in Toledo OH., October 24, 1941.

She is survived by her husband; her children, Spalding “Lanny” (Joanne) Slevin III of Peru, Terri (Joe) Scannell of Georgia, Janey Keeling of New Hampshire, Wendy Slevin (Greg Ziemer) of California, Elizabeth “Bink” (Art) Karagianis, of Woodstock, Il. and Patrick (Karen) Slevin of Pekin; one daughter-in-law, Nancy Slevin of East Peoria; 29 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Tim and Ted Slevin, a son-in-law, Rudy Keeling, one sister, Jean Witte; and two grandchildren, Kip Keeling and Patrick Slevin.

She attended Bradley University where she was a member of Lambda Phi Sorority.

Jane was the heart of this large family and will be remembered for her generous spirit and unconditional love. She will be missed by all who knew her.

There will be a memorial service at a later date.

Cremation rites have been accorded.
