He was born January 19, 1947 in Peoria, IL to Robert Euell and Renness Nadine (Hippel) Williams. He married Rebecca “Becky” Vogel December 19, 1970 in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Lee Ann Williams of East Peoria and Kimberly Sue Williams of Pekin; four grandchildren, Troy, Brittney, Cory and Joseph; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert “Bob” Williams of Nevada, Fred T. Williams of Peoria and David T. (Michele) Williams Sr. of Peoria; one sister, Jackie (Tony) Engel of Omaha, NE; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter Sherry Lynn and sisters Norma and Judy.
Gary worked at the Central Illinois Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired for many years as a van driver and janitor.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2020 from 2-3 p.m. at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria.
Cremation will be accorded following the visitation, with burial in Lutheran Cemetery at a later date.
