Francis "Frank" Howard Landers, 95, of East Peoria, formerly of Peoria Heights passed away at 2:59 pm Friday, December 2, 2016 at Unity Point Proctor Hospital. He was born June 6, 1921 in Peoria the son of Charles and Flora Strahn Landers. He married Evelyn Schaible on December 9, 1945. She preceded him in death on July 20, 2008. Francis is survived by three children, Bonnie and Frank (Emily) both of Washington and James (Yvonne) of Peoria; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. He was also preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one sister. He was a Navy Veteran serving in WWII. Francis was a member of East Peoria VFW Post # 2078. Funeral Services will be at 11 am Wednesday December 7, 2016 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will follow the service at St. Joseph Cemetery in Peoria. Memorials may be made to TAPS or Peoria Honor Flight.
