Eric "E-Dough" L. Nichols

He was born on October 1, 1999 in Peoria, IL to Joe Nichols and Tonya Ellington.

Surviving are both of his parents of Peoria; three siblings, Keon Nichols, Shantel Nichols, and Marissa Bliss all of Peoria; step mother, Michelle Jackson of South Carolina; maternal grandparents, John (Cindy) Ellington of Chillicothe and Jean Ellington Bartonville; paternal grandmother Lola Nichols; aunts and uncles, J.D. (Jessica) Ellington of Bartonville, Mollee (D'Andre) Ellington of Peoria, Hattie Simms of Peoria, Mary (Edgar) Dunigan of Indiana, John (Jeri) Nichols of South Carolina, Robert Nichols of Peoria, Perry (Melanie) Nichols of Tennessee, and Jerome Nichols of Peoria; niece, LillyOna Bliss and nephew, Keon Nichols Jr both of Peoria; and a host of cousins, adopted sisters, and friends.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Demarco Nichols; aunts Jamiee Ellington, Charlie “Ruth” Nichols, Patricia Nichols; paternal grandfathers, Charlie Nichols, and Rick Burton; great-grandparents, Susan and Richard Buxton, Arthur and Julia Frazier, Vearl and Zelma Ellington; and a host of friends and cousins.

Eric graduated from Manual High School in Peoria and worked as a cook at Casey's General Store. He enjoyed writing music and creating beats, he was very computer savvy, and will be remembered for his outgoing nature and love of life.

Eric was a beautiful soul and had a huge heart with an infectious smile. He loved and cherished his family as well as his beautiful pitbull Rocky. He was a proud high school graduate. Eric was strong hearted and a gifter. He was able to give his final gift by helping to give a longer life to others through the Gift of Hope.

A visitation will be on Sunday, November 20, 2022 from 4 to 6 pm at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. A service will be at 11am on Monday, November 21, 2022 with visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Parkview cemetery in Peoria.
