Elmer was born on October 2, 1930 in Edinburg, Illinois to Oscar C. and Evelyn (Matthews) Hulett. He married Leona M. Dickman on June 27, 1950 in Jacksonville, Illinois.
Surviving are his wife, Leona of Peoria; two sons, Lauren (Tressie) Hulett of Chillicothe, IL and Carlson (Sandra) Hulett of Peoria, IL; his daughter, Melinda Camp of Peoria, IL; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers; three sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and one grandchild.
Elmer has been a truck driver for over 30 years, retiring from Churchill Truck Line on June 30, 1989. He was a member of the Teamsters Local #627 of Peoria and was of the Protestant faith.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2013 from 5pm to 7pm at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Graveside services will be at 11am on Friday, August 30, 2013 at Oakland Cemetery in Meredosia, IL.
