He was born December 5, 1940 in Peoria, the son of Golden and Clara Wenzel Stephens. He married Jackie Kamin on February 11, 1961.
Edward is survived by his wife of 55 years; his children, Edward Jr. (Amy) Stephens of Peoria, Michael Stephens of Bartonville, Kris Clark of Peoria, and James (Kristi) Stephens of Hanna City; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and one sister.
Edward worked in Quality Control at Caterpillar Inc. until his retirement in 2000. He is a member of St. Philomena Catholic Church.
Funeral services will be at 11 am Thursday, December 29, 2016 at St. Philomena Catholic Church. Father David P Richardson will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St Philomena Catholic Church.
