Edith M. Lauterbach, 92, of Peoria, passed away at 3:45 pm, Thursday, November 15, 2012 at her home in Peoria. She was born September 5, 1920 in Limestone Township to John H. and Katherine (Frerichs) Rosenbohm. She married Harvey C. Lauterbach May 22, 1943 in Seattle, Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters. Surviving are her husband, Harvey of Peoria, four children, Melvin (Joyce) L. Lauterbach of Bartonville, Robert L. Lauterbach of Dwight, IL, Wanda (Dave) Lane of Mapleton and Gladys (Dan) Sanders of Charlotte, NC. Also surviving are ten grandchildren, Douglas (Darlene) Lauterbach of Mandeville, LA; Suzi Lauterbach of Bartonville, IL; Scott (Sara) Lauterbach of Crescent, PA; Andrea (Scott) Myers of Plymouth, MN; Shelly Lane of Bartonville, IL; Melissa (Paul) Waterman of Dubuque, IA; Mathew (Kelley) Lane of Bartonville, IL;Brian, Kevin and Kimberly Sanders of Charlotte, NC and fourteen great-grandchildren. Edith was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, traveling, flowers, ceramics, oil painting, crocheting and sewing quilt tops for her church. She loved spending time with her family and her husband of 69 1/2 years. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and served with the Mission Circle and Leisure Group. The family thanks the staff of Harbor Light Hospice and Comfort Keepers. A visitation will be on Sunday, November 18, 2012 from 3 to 6 pm at St. John Lutheran Church in Bartonville. A service will beat 10:00 am onMonday, November 19, 2012 at St. John Lutheran Church in Bartonville. Rev. Michael S. Jones and Pastor Paul Park will officiate.
