He was born May 5, 1932 in Holcomb, MO to Junius “June” and Elizabeth (Logsdon) King. He married Phyllis Luther on May 9, 1953 in Holcomb, MO. She passed away Sep. 14, 2014 in Peoria. He was also preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: David and James King.
Survivors include four children: Gary (Kathy) King of Sherwood, OR, Barbara (Tom) Stoneman of Frisco, TX, Karen (Brian) Jensen of Dunlap, and Charles King of Conroe, TX. He is also survived by six grandchildren: Susan (Curtis) Borchardt, Stephen (Megan) King, Brian (Hannah) King, Taylor Jensen, Andrew Jensen, Lara (Tomas) Farias, eight great-grandchildren: Finley, Avery, Flory, and Franci Borchardt, Camryn and Declan King, Savannah and Greyson King, and one brother, Robert (Hannah) King of St Louis, MO.
Caroll was a United States Air Force veteran for over 20 years retiring on May 1, 1971. Following his time in the military, he was a Radar Specialist for the Federal Aviation Administration retiring in 1995.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 25, 2024 at 2 p.m. at the Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.
Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin with Military Honors.
