Billie F. Cook, 75, of Peoria, passed away at 11:14 AM on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born on September 21, 1935 in Plumerville, AR to Dewey M and Zona Thompson Ward. She married Donald J. Cook on November 13, 1968 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on February 27, 1992 in Peoria. She is survived by several nieces, nephews and her beloved church family.
Billie was the owner/operator of Cook’s Cabs in Peoria, retiring in 2000. Prior to starting her company she had worked in inventory at Sieg & Globe Auto Parts in Peoria. She was an active member of Cornerstone Gospel Church in Peoria.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM on Wednesday March 2, 2011 at Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria. Pastor Frances Kenon will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association or to her church.
