Beverly Ann (Lipke) Ackley

Beverly was born January 7, 1932 to Rosalie (Weighner) and Hugo Lipke in Prairie Du Chein, Wisconsin.

She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in 1950 then continued her education at Columbia Hospital Chicago, IL where she graduated in 1952 with her RN. She worked at Columbia Hospital until 1969. After which she moved to Naples, Florida to escape the Illinois winters….in Naples she worked at Naples Community Hospital finally retiring in 2000.

While still in Chicago she met her husband Dean Ackley. They married on June 18, 1966 in Prairie Du Chein.

Beverly was an avid bowler! Bowling 3 nights a week and doing that well in to her 80s. She longed for going to the hairdresser every couple weeks to get her hair done and her nails! She was a very neat and organized person and saved everything!!

She is survived by one niece Tammy Jacobson of Prairie Du Chein and several cousins in Peoria and Prairie Du Chein.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dean, her parents, her sister Marilyn Melcher, and nieces Trina and Tonya.

Cremation rites have been accorded and burial in Prairie Du Chein will be at a later date.

Special Thanks go out to the staff at Accolade Nursing Home in Peoria for their care and friendship to Beverly.

And even more thanks goes out to her cousin Bernie and Sheila Wright for their wonderful help and care to Beverly and Dean over the past 30 years!!!
