1943-2018
William Lloyd Dyer was born December 1943. He lost his fight with cancer on September 16, 2018. It is a great loss for us all; he was dearly loved by many. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Judy Dyer, his son, Theodore Dyer, his daughter, Jill (Timothy) Mosley; grandchildren: William Michael and Jessica Marie Inskeep and James, Joseph and Kathleen Mosley; great-grandchildren: Dylan Serenity, William Reza, Michael Azadi and Emilia Grace Inskeep and Connor Matthew and Nova Gracelynn Mosley; his twin brother Walter (Cheryl) Dyer, brother-in-law Thomas Courts, sister-in-law Chris (Fred) Chandler, mother-in-law Evelee Courts; niece Karen (Roger) Jetters; nephews: David (Shirley) Bass, Tommy and Trent Dyer and countless great nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Bill. My dad was a carpenter and he shared his talent by helping those around him, wherever he was. He was, above all, a generous and good-hearted man. He enjoyed collecting antiques with his brother-in-law Tommy as well as collecting marbles, old bottles and knives. Most of all, he was the best dad ever. He was so funny. He made anything and everything fun. He spent priceless time with me when I was a kid. He made sure I knew I was loved. I can remember many, many trips when the entire family--aunts, uncles, cousins—would all pile in Dad’s red van and off we’d go to the family farm in Kentucky. Dad taught me how to be a good person, by example. He had so many hobbies. One he loved was carving wood. He carved all the babies’ wooden rattles with their names on them. He also loved helping his wife, Judy, with her arts and crafts. He was the greatest problem-solver. He always had an answer no matter what I asked; if he didn’t know, he found out. He fixed it. He made it fun now matter it was. If you were with dad, you were having a good time. He is missed.
He joins his mother, Faye Alice Dyer and father, Walter Wade Dyer, his brother Paul Harvey Dyer, sister Lois Ann Bass, nephews William Travis Bass and Brian Toby Dyer, his father-in-law, Thomas Courts and brother-in-law, Jim Courts, as well as many others.
