Verna Marie Ledet Blanchard, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2013 in Pensacola.
Born to Charles and Beatrice Ledet on August 27, 1924 in New Orleans, LA.
Her parents, her husband Roy J. Blanchard, her sisters Shirley O'Neill, Helen Boyle and brother Charles Ledet preceded Verna in death. She is survived by her daughter Janet Hartlieb (Carl), son Ben Blanchard (Marlene) and daughter Gail Ryder (Chris). Verna was blessed with 8 grandchildren David Hartlieb, Christine Ervin (Mark), Joseph Hartlieb (Julia), James Brown (Vicki), Brian Blanchard, Brad Blanchard (Aja), Jason Ryder (Jessica), and Janelle Ryder as well as 12 Great Grandchildren Brooke and Sadie Ervin, Lucy and Charles Hartlieb, Thomas, Michael, Alysha and David Brown, TJ, Megan and Murphy Blanchard and Justin Ryder.
She was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church since 1954 and member of the Warrington Elkettes.

Verna you will be missed by your family, friends, your long time Bunco and Bingo buddies. You will always be remembered for your sweet smile, laugh and generous spirit. Your grandchildren and great-grandchildren will always remember their 'Bingo Granny'.
Visitation at Oak Lawn Funeral Home Sunday, June 2 from 4pm to 6pm.
Please join us in celebrating her life at Little Flower Catholic Church on Monday June 3 at 10am. Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park Cemetery. Oak Lawn Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
