Mrs. Fillingim lived in Pensacola until she was 93, then moved to Georgia to be with her daughter for the last three years, to be near her family. She loved to be outside doing yard work. Her grandchildren were always amazed at the work she would do at her age. She started working at Southern Bell in Newnan, Ga., her hometown at age 18 and retired in Pensacola in 1981. A very long retirement for her, 41 years. She will be missed by her family, having devoted Nieces and Nephews that kept in touch with her.
Thanks to Dr. Christopher Apostol's office and Hospice Services of
Augusta for the care they provided for her the last week she was here at home.
A private graveside service will be held, Wednesday, October 05, 2022 at Clear Springs Cemetery in Robertsdale, Alabama.
