Rose Linda Fussell

Rose Linda was born on August 6,1944 in Bonifay, Florida to John and Pauline Bruno. She was the oldest of four children and attended Pensacola Technical High School, where she met the love of her life, Albert Lamar Fussell. They married on November 24th, 1962 and were married for 52 years before he passed away in 2015.

Rose worked various jobs in her life, but her favorite was being a travel agent. She took many friends and family members on amazing adventures! She loved helping people!

Rose was always putting others before herself. She loved decorating for the holidays and playing cards with her friends. Rose loved buying presents for people and was very generous. Rose was a strong Christian woman who relied on her faith to get her through difficult times. Rose cultivated lifelong friendships. Rose was kind-hearted and generous and left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know her.

She loved being a mom and a Mimi and her children and grandchildren were the light of her life. In 2020, Rose became a dog mom to her beloved Peanut. Peanut brought immense joy and companionship to her life.

Rose leaves behind a loving family including her son, Rick Fussell, wife Xiomara; son Robby Fussell, wife Leanne; grandchildren Lorcan (Juliana), Katie, Faith, Kiefer, great-grandson Liam , sisters Diana (Johnnie) Montgomery, Robert (Vickie) Bruno, Pamela (Mark) Spitznagel, nieces and nephews, and numerous, loving friends that were like family.

A celebration of Rose’s life will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home in Pensacola, FL. A visitation will be held from 11:00 am -12:00 pm, funeral service from 12:00 pm-1:00 pm, interment from 1:00 pm-1:30 pm, with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider a charitable donation to Olive Baptist Church, 1836 E. Olive Road, Pensacola, FL 32514 in memory of Rose Linda Fussell.
