Richard Louis Vignes

Richard Vignes, aged 79, beloved husband, father, and grandfather went home to be with Jesus on the evening of September 7th, 2023. Richard was born to René and Loraine Vignes on June 20th, 1944 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He spent his younger years in New Orleans before moving to Slidell, LA where he met his wife Nina, with whom he recently celebrated 50 years of marriage.

Richard loved the Lord and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church for close to 20 years. Richard was an avid reader, cook, and loved camping with his wife. He was known for his hard work and craftsmanship in his employment and personal life. He was funny, wise, steadfast, and skilled. He will be remembered for his extreme love for and dedication to his Lord and family.

Richard is survived by his wife Nina Vignes, daughters Tammy Vignes Cagle, Judi Vignes Chase, (Rick Chase), his brother John Vignes, grandchildren Sarah Coleman (Bryce Coleman), Michael Chase, Adam Vignes, Peyton Vignes and great grandson Abel René Vignes. He is preceded in death by his parents René and Loraine Vignes, and his son, Ryan Vignes.

The funeral service will be held at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens Thursday, September 14th with visitation beginning at 10:30AM and the service to follow at 11:00AM. Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens is located at 1985 West Nine Mile Road, Pensacola, FL 32534.
