Rebecca Renee Simmons

Rebecca was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida her whole life. She loved poems and drawing. She loved to get dressed up and attend the Renaissance Fair. She had a great love for cats. She always had her a cat, in her passing she left behind her beloved cat (Clyde) that climbs in the window and waits for her to return home. Rebecca better known as Bekka to her friends and Bekka Nae to her Father and sister was taken at such a young age. She had her whole life to live. She'd often talk about her dream of going back to school to be a veterinarian. Cause her loved for animal was that deep. Rebecca was unique and different and had her own ways about things. Rebecca loved her family and friends and left behind her mother Teresa Y. Simmons; Father and step mother Dwayne and Shari Simmons Sr.; four sisters, two brother in laws, one brother and one sister in law , Christa and Ronald (Simmons) Bland, Amanda and Jason Sandoval, Ashley Simmons, Dwayne (Bo) and Amanda Simmons Jr. and Nina Simmons; Seven Nephews and two nieces, Rayshawn Simmons, Rashad Taylor, Damon Simmons, Liam Antone, Samantha Simmons, Jayceon Sandoval, Zoe Antone, Karter Bland, and Elijah Sandoval. Her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Edward and Carol Simmons and Billy Joe Pitts Sr.; Two uncles and two aunts, Derek and Jean Simmons, Donna Simmons, and Billy Joe Pitts Jr. Also her long life best friend Nancy Green and lots of cousins.

She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Wilma Blain and great grandmother, Arnell Pitts.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 16, 2017 followed by funeral services 2:00 p.m. at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel, 3351 Scenic Highway Pensacola, FL 32503. Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
