Penelope (Penny) Mathews, age 74 passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020 in Elberta, Alabama. Penelope was born July 3, 1946 in Tampa, Florida to Emily and Ervin Fisher. She moved to Elberta Alabama in 1997.
She was a bookkeeper for Warrington Hardware and then Warrington Hardware and Marine.
She is survived by her two sons, Eddie (Tammy) Mathews, David (Yolanda) Mathews; daughter, Sharon (Randy) O'Neal; three sisters, Sylvia Jeffcoat, Barbara Ferguson and Judy Wayne; 15 grandchildren; and, 17 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Emily and Ervin Fisher; and her husband Henry Mathews.
A visitation for Penelope will be held Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 10:30 am at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, 619 N New Warrington Rd, Pensacola, Florida 32506, followed by a Memorial Service beginning at 11:00 am. She will be inurned at Barrancas National Cemetery.
