Paul was born September 02, 1938 in Los Angeles, California to Paul Garcia Soler and Consuelo Medina Soler. He joined the U.S. Air Force, serving in Vietnam, and retired after 20 years of service. After the service, Paul went to work for Lockheed Martin from which he retired after 12 ½ years of employment. Paul was a lifetime member of the VFW in Ozark, Missouri and a lifetime member of the PGA Tour Partners Club. He was an avid golfer who also enjoyed, deep sea fishing, traveling, racing, roller coasters, go-karts, putt-putt golf and was a collector of Eagle Statues. Paul was proudest of his military service and was a great contributor to multiple charities.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Consuelo Soler; and his first wife, Donna Hagen Soler.
Survivors include his wife, Betsy Lee Soler of Gulf Breeze; son, John Paul Soler (Liz) of Oceanside, California; son, Raymond Dean Soler (Helyn) of Niagara Falls, New York; son, Paul John Soler (Justin Hildreth) of Avon, Colorado; daughter, Tammie Marie Davis (Scott) of Ozark, Missouri; daughter, Robin Lynn Lowe of Marshfield, Missouri; daughter, Connie Kay Dalton (Gary Allen) of Gulf Breeze, Florida; son, Michael William Scott (Amber) of Marshfield, Missouri; brother, Ronald Anthony Soler of Montrose, Colorado; sister, Linda Ann Duran of Los Angeles, California; uncle, Joseph William Varela of Cerritos, California; grandchildren, Aaron Soler, Sara Soler, Josh Soler, Tiffany Stone, Brent Dalton, Brad Dalton, Summer Pflaum, Kayla McSweeney, Sierra Scott and Blaze Lowe; fifteen great grandchildren; four nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Barrancas National Cemetery with full military honors. The procession will depart from Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel at 10:00 a.m., Thursday.
