Patricia Susan Brown (Lagos), beloved Mother, Grandmother, Daughter and Sister to many, passed on December 29, 2021 in her home after her courageous battle with cancer. Patricia “Patty” was born on September 7, 1958, in Plainwell Michigan, to George and Shirley Lagos. Patty served in the U.S. Navy as a Dental Hygienist and devoted her life raising her five children in Pensacola, Florida. Besides spending time with her family, Patty had a passion for nature and the outdoors, where she led several adventures being a Trail Head Leader for the Florida Trail Association. She also enjoyed paddling down Florida’s rivers and had a love for Disney World, where she felt it was truly the most magical place on earth.
Patty loved the Lord with all of her heart and was a devoted follower of Christ. She will be remembered spreading God’s word and teachings, referencing God’s faithfulness and his love for people and quoting the Lord’s scriptures right up until her passing.
Patricia is survived by her parents: George W. Lagos and Shirley Lagos; Husband: Ivan Brown; Five children: Brian Adams, Christopher Adams, Emily Sigley, Ivan “Peter” Brown and Katherine Brown. Grandchildren: Auden Adams, Samual Adams, Haven Brown, Addison Brown, Joseph Brown, Katrianna Brown and another soon to be born; Six younger siblings: Rose Lagos, Charlene Farner, Charlie Lagos, Gerald “Jerry” Lagos, Tina Lewis and Kellie Lagos.
There will be a procession leaving Oak Lawn Funeral Home at 9:00 am for the ceremony. The ceremony will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery on Wednesday, January 5th, 2022 at 10:00 am and a reception to celebrate her life will follow at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, 619 New Warrington Road, Pensacola, FL at 11:00 am.
