

She was born on a farm in Tampico, IL on October 9, 1936 to Ercel and Edna Dooley. Her father died when she was five years old. After which she, her mother and her two younger brothers, Dale and Don, spent time in Missouri with family before settling in the small town of Las Animas, CO where her uncle had a farm. There she made lifelong friends whom she treasured until the end.
As a young woman she moved to San Diego, CA to work for the telephone company. She had many adventures in Southern California before marrying her neighbor, Walter Farin in 1970. He was a doctor in the US Navy and she went with him to Pensacola, FL where their daughter, Kristen was born. They spent 14 years here before moving to Camp LeJeune, NC and Orlando, FL. They returned to Pensacola for his last post and retired here. She continued to enjoy activities with family and friends until her and her husband’s health began to decline.
She lost Walter in 2020 just before the COVID pandemic. Her youngest brother, Don, died in 2006. She is survived by her daughter, Kristen Farin of Pensacola, FL; her brother Dale Dooley of Broken Arrow, OK; and her nieces and nephew Patricia Breen, Melissa Felsenthal, Christopher Dooley and their families.
She will be interred at Barrancas Cemetery in a private arrangement.
